Manage your ProofPay subscription and billing

Owner billing controls, subscription cancellation, and trial availability.

  1. 1.Sign in as the workspace owner

Open Settings → Plan and billing to review the workspace's subscription. Only the owner can view billing, open subscription Checkout, or use Manage billing / cancel. Employee payment permissions, including admin access, do not grant subscription billing access.

  2. 2.Separate two kinds of payment

Your ProofPay subscription pays for the platform plan. Customer deposits, balances, refunds, and payment-processing fees are separate. Cancelling a platform subscription is not an order cancellation or a refund to a customer.

  3. 3.Review the offer actually shown

Review the recurring price and terms in Settings and Stripe Checkout before confirming. A 30-day trial applies only when explicitly offered in Settings and Stripe Checkout; otherwise, checkout is a paid subscription. An offered trial requires a billing card and renews at the displayed monthly price plus applicable taxes unless the owner cancels before it ends. Review the usage limits and cancellation terms. An existing paid or complimentary workspace is not automatically converted to a trial.

  4. 4.Use the billing portal

When Manage billing / cancel is available, use it to update your billing card or cancel your subscription. Check the effective cancellation date in Stripe and Settings. Opening the portal alone does not cancel the plan; finish the cancellation and verify the recorded result.

  5. 5.Keep customer records separate

A subscription billing issue does not mean a customer's order was refunded or paid. Use the order's payment history for customer transactions, and contact support if your subscription record and Stripe disagree. Never send card details or verification codes to support.
