1.Use the invited email
Open the invitation and sign in with the exact email address that received it. If another account is signed in, use the invitation's account-switch/sign-in option before accepting.
2.Accept before creating a shop
Return to the invitation after signing in and accept it to join the existing workspace. An invited employee does not need to set up a separate business or share the owner's password.
3.Have the owner configure access
In Team, the owner reviews each member's role and employee permissions. Production, customer updates, skipping workflow stages, closing orders, Stripe checkout, outside-payment recording, verification, corrections, and each outside method are separate grants. Direct cancellation requires a separate Cancel orders grant, off by default even for manager presets. Employees without it can request owner cancellation with a reason; the owner decides. Presets do not save automatically or change the employee's role.
4.Keep financial controls separate
A production employee can update progress without access to payment actions. Front-of-house payment or direct-cancellation access does not permit Stripe refunds or voiding outside-payment records; both remain owner-only, including for admins. Shop settings, tax exemptions and approval records remain protected. Outside methods and correction grants are separate. A signed-in employee's checkout permission does not disable the customer's payment link.
5.Resolve blocked actions with the owner
If you see an access-required or stage-not-changed message, ask the owner to review your permissions and the order state. Do not bypass a restriction with another employee's login.
